Wormhole IT continues to improve its products. As a result, the educational institutes and companies that utilize the product for training programs, orientation for new company collaborators and university-level education can optimize their resources and obtain more benefits.

The updates included in the latest product version are:

Recording of meetings/classes(BETA)

This resource allows the audio and documents shown on the platform to be saved without installing any additional software. By simply pressing the record button, a file is saved with an audio recording of what participants are saying and the documents that are being displayed on the blackboard. Once the class is over, the system stores the recording/files in the “Media” module.

New search engine for topics in the forum of courses/events.

The search engine allows phrases or words to be searched in the forum topics. This way, the subjects whose messages include the word or phrase you are searching for can be easily accessed.

New search engine for messages in the forum of courses/events.

This search engine allows you to find messages that include the words or phrase you are looking for. In addition, this tool displays:

• The responses to the message, if there are any.

• The original message and all of the responses, if the message found was a response to another message.

The ability to configure roles in the professor modules.

In order to allow a course or event manager to control what professors can do, different course management options were added. A new configuration tab has thus been added to the editing screen for courses/events in which managers can edit active modules and the rights of professors to manage these modules.

New icons

The icons have been modified on the lists of courses/events, documents, exams, etc.

The “Media” module has replaced the “Documents” module of a course/event

With the media module, any type of file can be uploaded to the platform and the files can then be grouped in categories. The category “Recordings” has been added to display the class recordings in the virtual classroom.

Addition of the video viewer

This tool allows FLV videos and recordings to be played on the site without the need to download them.
The goal of the latest updates was to continue improving usability by increasing the number of functions and to renovate the graphic interface in order to optimize users’ experience.
