The event was organized by Florida International University from November 16th to 18th in Miami, inviting innovative companies from Latin America and the Carribbean.

In the presentation round each selected company would give a conference for investors and market leaders willing to support new projects. "The investor community sees AVCC as a shop window for entrepeneurs from Latin America and Southern Florida", says Irma Becerra-Fernández, founder and co-president.

During the event Wormhole IT showed off its products to an eager crowd who received it with great interest.Sally Buberman, director of Wormhole IT, was in charge of the presentation for over 250 people who attended the event."We had not seen such interest in Latin America and emerging markets from American Companies in the west coast. Companies and investors from all over USA have come to take a look at the Latin American proposals", said Sally who went home carrying the price for "Capital Inflection Venture Prize".

"It was a very positive event which will generate an important change for our company", added Sally Buberman.
The distinctions awarded at America´s Venture Capital Conference 2011 were:

• Tres Mares prize to Innovation (ten thousand dollars and a feature presentation by the group "Tercer un quinto" valued in five thousand dollars).
• FedEx prize for Access to Global Markets (ten thousand dollars in services for commitment to global commerce).
• CP Capital`s Capital Inflection Venture prize and CP Venture´s People´s choice Award (ten thousand dollares in investment banking services each).
