From the other side of the world , from FLACSO Argentina comes Solange Strugo, Technical coordinator for virtual graduate courses who explains: “Web conferencing has permitted to consolidate the virtual relationships with students and allowed them to finish their courses without moving from home. It is an invaluable tool, useful, practical and it provides new challenges for communications” From St. Andrews University , Alejandro Artopoulos, Director of the learning Lab,tells us that “"It is used to take classes, defending thesis, research meetings and even for the meeting of board members (The management council, top government of the university)”. Last but not least comes Evolution Foundation who also uses Wormhole´s webconference services. Marta Libedinsky, Academic Director explains: “The virtual meeting room allows us to carry out live events and record them, which means that the generated content can be used both by the people attending the day of the event and by those who are unable to attend at a specific date”. |
