Article about WIT in iEco

At Wormhole IT, 2010 was a whirlwind year of experience and growth that helped us consolidate our company as the best option in terms of simple, innovative technology solutions for individuals and companies.

An article on our company's achievements in 2010 recently appeared in iEco, the economic supplement to the daily Clarín. The article, written by Martín Didegaray and entitled Los argentinos que entraron al Silicon Valley y ahora se codean con millonarios, (The Argentines who went to Silicon Valley and now rub shoulders with millionaires) tells readers a little about the history of our company. Though our history is told a bit like a fairy tale, it also emphasizes the dedication and effort behind the company's success.

As mentioned in the article, we have participated in more than 30 contests for entrepreneurs, though undoubtedly our award at the Intel Challenge Latin America 2009 was one of our greatest achievements. Thanks to this award, we were one of the 28 teams to participate in the Intel+UC Berkeley Technology Entrepreneurship Challenge (IBTEC).

During this event, we entered the second round along with seven other finalists and gave a 15- minute presentation for a jury comprised of academics from UC Berkeley, investment banks and risk capital investors. After taking fourth place in the competition, we were contacted by a Singapore entrepreneur who expressed his interest in our product. As a result, we now have a commercial partner who will market Wormhole IT products in Thailand.

The iEco article includes other details “off the record” about our company’s history, which is a source of pride for all of us at Wormhole IT, a leader in the sector of customized software applications for meetings, conferences and distance learning via Internet.
