Some of the world’s largest telecommunications companies including Vodafone, Deutsche Telekom, Telefónica and China Mobile came together for the TC3 conference organized by the Telecom Council in San Francisco, California. Some of Argentina’s Internet companies were there to share the advantages of the solutions they develop.
On September 12 and 13, the TC3 conference was held in Silicon Valley. Renowned as one of the world’s most important telecommunications conferences TC3 gathered more than 1,000 major companies from the sector, including Sprint, BT, ATT, Nokia, Vodafone, Sony, Deutsche Telekom, Telefónica and China Mobile, among many others.
With opportunities for investors, workshops on innovations and business connections for companies across the world, Argentine companies attended one of the first events at the TC3 conference: the forum on solutions available for major carriers. Companies like Acudora, Quixey, Locaid , Buck and the Argentine company Wormhole held demonstrations of the developments that telecommunications firms can incorporate to their product and service portfolios.
“This was a great opportunity to present our solutions—especially the Wormhole platform—to some of the world's key executives in the field,”
says Ignacio López, partner and Technology Director at Wormhole,
“We found the audience to be very receptive; I believe that new strategic agreements and business opportunities will result from this event.”
During his presentation, López emphasized that emerging markets are currently growing by 50% annual in the area of webconference solutions. Solutions fully based on Internet such as Wormhole are meeting this demand because they are easy to use and implement, low cost, and are recommended by thousands of users who have already tried the service.
Another advantage to the conference was that telecommunications companies that provide infrastructures for landline, mobile phones and Internet access got a chance to consider alternative suppliers that can add value to their portfolios. Executives from different “telcos” noted that platforms with added value like Wormhole provides an excellent alternative as a private brand along with easy integration, variables that allow clients to customize prices and packages, and the possibility of helping its brands go viral on Internet by incorporating cloud products.
Wormhole, the company that hás created the most popular and award-winning videoconference and online education platforms in Latin America, has reached strategic agreements with Vivo in Brazil and Telefonica in Argentina. Both telecommunications firms will be adding Wormhole to their product portfolios.
